Welcome to GEERKEN + PARTNER - Your specialized insurance broker for the private care sector of the Ecclesia Group
We're glad you're here! For over 25 years, we have been concentrating all our efforts on insurance and risk provision for the private care industry - inpatient, outpatient, assisted living and all related and residential property sectors. Whether you are an operator, owner or manager: we understand your requirements.
Personalized. Reliable. A perfect fit.
We believe in individual solutions rather than standard products. Each customer has a dedicated contact person who listens carefully, asks questions and provides advice on an equal footing. This creates long-standing trust with our customers.
Accompanying private care providers
Who we are
G+P was born out of the desire to provide optimal support for the special insurance needs of private care facilities. Over time, property companies and landlords were added, which today are also among our most important customer groups.
In 2003/2004, we pooled our expertise with the Ecclesia Group - a step that enabled us to provide even more comprehensive support to the entire care market. As part of the Ecclesia Group , we benefit from a strong network whose expertise we can draw on for our clients at any time.

The reality of private geriatric care providers
Between economic pressure, a shortage of skilled labor and increasing demands
As the operator of a private care facility, you work in a challenging environment. Economic pressure, a shortage of skilled staff and constantly increasing demands for quality, safety and compliance characterize your day-to-day tasks. At the same time, the expectations of investors, relatives and care insurers are high.
Added to this is the complexity of insurance issues:
- How do you organise the insurance cover so that it remains economically viable on the one hand and reliably takes effect in the event of a claim on the other?
- How do you avoid conflicts with landlords or property companies when it comes to liability and costs?
- How do you protect yourself against existential risks - from liability claims to natural hazards or business failures?
This is exactly where we come in. We know that private providers are often caught between the interests of many parties. That's why we provide transparent, fair and binding advice - and put your perspective at the centre. With our specially developed nursing home policies, we offer insurance solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of private facilities and comprehensively cover risks.

What sets us apart
Double perspective. Double the strength.
We look after operators and property companies in equal measure - not only separately, but above all together. In this way, we ensure that your insurance structures are sustainable and also function smoothly in the event of a claim.
While other brokers often focus solely on the most favourable premium, we rely on a clear understanding of your risk philosophy. We ask:
- What risks do you want to cover?
- How high should the indemnity limits be?
- What excess is acceptable for you?
- What does security mean to you?
Together with the Ecclesia Group, we offer you a range of services that goes far beyond mere brokerage:
- Purchasing and brokering insurance policies with excellent conditions
- Risk consulting and risk management to cover your risks in the long term
- Development of customised insurance concepts - including specially developed nursing home policies that optimally cover your operational risk
- Comprehensive claims management and support in the event of a claim
- 24/7 support and contract management - always available when you need us
- Our own insurance solutions that offer you flexibility and maximum security

How the Ecclesia Group's specialist team secures private geriatric care with modular concepts, keeps unplanned costs at bay and uses its negotiating power and expertise to achieve better conditions
Interview with Carsten Meier, Managing Director GEERKEN + PARTNER
What does GEERKEN + PARTNER stand for within the Ecclesia Group?
We are the specialized unit for private geriatric care - with a deep understanding of inpatient and outpatient structures. Our aim is to identify risks in a practical manner, provide professional cover and thus keep unplanned costs away from the business.
Why does private geriatric care need its own specialization?
Private providers have a particular dynamic in terms of refinancing, staffing and occupancy; many homes have been in intensive use for years. Solutions must be a perfect fit in terms of business management and operations - not "off the shelf".
Which solutions do you use?
At the core are two modular complete solutions: the nursing home policy (inpatient) and the care-at-home policy (outpatient). Both are based on comprehensive property cover with business interruption - i.e. cover for buildings, technology and inventory including loss of income, with a few exceptions - and liability cover that explicitly includes the practical requirements of care, such as giving injections or dispensing remedies. All in a single contract, with few gaps and everyday coverage.
How would you describe your role as a broker?
We translate the reality of your business into clear insurance logic, develop the appropriate cover architecture and negotiate terms on an equal footing - based on expertise and trusting cooperation with insurers. In the event of a claim, we hold the strings together and ensure speed and reliability.
How do customers benefit from the Ecclesia Group?
Through negotiating strength based on expertise, experience from many placements and targeted access to specialist teams. This results in tailor-made, stable solutions - over and above standard cover.
Your value proposition in one sentence?
Securing private care, protecting liquidity - with modular concepts from GEERKEN + PARTNER and the strength of the Ecclesia Group.

In the Ecclesia network: specialist teams from a single source
As part of the Ecclesia Group, we expand your scope of action and orchestrate tailor-made teams of specialists as required - for cyber, succession planning and M&A, for complex construction projects - as well as for financing and liquidity, liability and D&O issues. We bring together the right experts exactly when they are needed, remain your single point of contact and maintain the common thread in the support. In this way, a sustainable, everyday solution is created from many building blocks - with clear follow-up options if further services are required.
